There has been a lot of activity at chez Huntley since my last update. I gave myself a Thanksgiving deadline for the public spaces, so once the calendar read October I had to get my a-- in gear. I actually like the pressure of a deadline. It gives you clarity and forces you to be decisive. And as I’ve mentioned before, that doesn’t come naturally when one is both the client and the designer. There is still quite a bit of work to be done, but the next few weeks will be full of exciting developments. For now, enjoy a sneak peek (emphasis on peek) at some of the details installed thus far.
I want to have these kind of designs in my home and I want to have it NOW!!!

I love the featured sink. I design, make and sell handcrafted wall sconces at www.lightcrafters.com all are handcrafted from copper, nomex, glass, mica and much more.

Kerry - I'm right there with you. It is sooo hard for me to be my own client! I'll redo my own schemes over and over if I don't just pull the trigger.

Michelle - It is an upholstered [leather] pedestal. I love doing upholstered casement pieces ... breaks up all the wood. When are all the DC bloggers going to get together again?!

It all looks so lovely. I agree that being the client and the designer is a bit of a conflict. In my case, I have a devil of a time deciding on anything and when I do I question my decision for months.

Tricia, My mouth is watering - can not wait to see more! At High Point I saw quite a few upholstered casement pieces. Is that tiny pic of an upholstered pedestal? Even if you're not ready to show whole rooms please keep these updates coming.
